Currently, the University of Tokyo comprises 10 Faculties, 15 Graduate Schools, 11 affiliated research institutes (including the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology), 13 University-wide centers, three affiliated libraries and two institutes for advanced study. Furthermore, the Faculties, Graduate Schools and research institutes have facilities associated with them; for instance, the University of Tokyo Hospital is one such facility. In addition to the three main campuses in Hongo, Komaba and Kashiwa, facilities affiliated with the University of Tokyo are spread all throughout Japan.

The University of Tokyo’s “Global Unit Courses” (GUC) provides a great opportunity for students around the world to gain what it is like to study at one of the world’s leading universities in East Asia. UTokyo GUC offers a variety of in-person and online courses with cutting-edge contents, taught by faculty members of the University of Tokyo.

Eligibility
- Undergraduate Students (S1) or Postgraduate Students (S2)
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
- Be proficient in English. The expected minimum proficiency level: TOEFL iBT 90 or IELTS 6.5.

Application Fee
JPY 4,500
The transaction fee of JPY 500 will be charged along with the application fee.
The application fee must be paid during application period by credit card ONLY and is strictly non-refundable. There is no application fee for UTokyo students.
Program Fees
In-person format: JPY 150,000 per Global Unit/JPY 75,000 per 0.5 Global Unit
Online/On-demand format: JPY 50,000 per Global Unit / JPY 25,000 per 0.5 Global Unit

- A copy of your identification (passport or student ID card)
- An OFFICIAL transcript(s) from all the institutions of higher education one has attended.
- Consent Form (download)
- A color ID photo, plain background (taken within the last 3 months)
- Statement of purpose for each course you want to apply for (download)

- Proceed to the Online Application process from the T-Cens online system during the application period.
- The FINAL decision from University of Tokyo
