The NTU-University Scholars Programme (NTU-USP) cordially invites you to join the third annual Youth Regional Affairs Dialogue 2022!
Organized by NTU-USP and supported by Temasek Foundation, the Youth Regional Affairs Dialogue 2022 is a platform for university students in Asia to enhance their leadership skills and broaden their understanding of geopolitics.
Dialogue Objectives
Aspiring youth leaders will have an opportunity to develop an appreciation of Asia’s interwoven geopolitical structure through discussions on economics, politics and society, and foster an understanding of governance and policies across Asia as they build friendships through cross-cultural exchanges.
Programme Details
- The 9-day programme will be held from 23rd – 31st July 2022 at the NTU campus in Singapore.
- Centred on the theme of “Social Cohesion in Asia”, participants will be challenged to critically examine the theme by considering its interaction with related issues.
- The dialogue session will gather 40 international students from around Asia and 40 local scholars from Singapore.
- Participants will get to broaden their understanding of geopolitics through talks by guest speakers, field visits and discussions with faculty members, as well as strengthen their personal and professional networks with future leaders in Asia.
- Successful applicants will be heavily funded with programme fees and travel support (which includes airfare, accommodation in Singapore, living allowance, transport, visa and travel insurance).

Participation Criteria
To be eligible for this dialogue, you must be:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have completed at least 2 semesters of study with the home university; be an
outstanding student leader with a strong academic and co-curricular involvement, as well
as the ability to act as a youth representative of your home university and country. - Citizen and resident of the country of your home university.
- Be able to operate in English, which is the working language of the programme. Please
attach your highest English certification (eg. IELTS, TOEFL), if any. You may be
interviewed through a telephone/Skype interview to show your proficiency in English. - Be able to travel and commit to the entire period of the dialogue in Singapore.
- Recommended by your home university.
- Be fully vaccinated with WHO EUL vaccines (click here for definition of fully vaccinated) /
medically exempted from Covid-19 vaccination at least two weeks before arrival in
Singapore.
Applicants should also take note that full-time attendance at the dialogue by the selected
participants is mandatory. Participants should be committed to investing time to prepare for and
actively participate in the Youth Forum.

Application Procedure:
- Submit the application documents through OIA online submission link by 10 March 2022: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication
- OIA will evaluate your application and process the selection.
- Once you are selected as a Nominated Student, OIA will send an official nomination to the host university and return the signed Application Form to you to proceed application directly to NTU.
