[South Korea] Jeonbuk National University – Brain Korea 21 Scholarship to Admission for International Students (Graduate School)

Jeonbuk National University (JBNU; 전북대학교; 全北大學校; Jeonbuk Daehakgyo) is located in the historical city of Jeonju, Republic of Korea. As the flagship national university for the Jeollabuk-do Province, it was founded in 1947 by the provincial fund within the framework of the Korean national university system, following the liberation of the country.

JBNU has grown to 17 colleges (including Faculty of Public Policy and Jimmy Carter School of International Studies) and 14 graduate schools (one general, nine specialized and four professional schools).

For approximately 32,000 students, and 2,400 full-time and part-time professors (as of October 2016), Jeonbuk National University provides with high-quality educational, research and support facilities, cooperating with various institutions worldwide.

This year JBNU offers scholarship opportunities through its Brain Korea 21 Project which purposes is to foster creative, adventurous master’s / doctorate-level human resources and world-class research-oriented Universities in response to social changes such as the 4th Industrial Revolution, and population decline.

Application Procedures

1. Application Deadline for the 1st Round is April 9(Fri) 23:59, 2nd Round is May 21(Fri) 23:59. Please note that your submission will be completed when you have filled out all required fields and make your payment for the application.
2. Please make sure your applying major/Department in Korean or English. Application fee cannot be returned after the application deadline.
3. In the case of multiple applications within the same application round, applications other than the initial application will be canceled.
4. Applicants should make sure they input the correct personal information. (email, Contact number).
5. Your Application Number will be issued after application submission. You should keep in mind the application number for your admission schedule, admission result, etc.
6. Applicants should submit completed paperwork during application period, if applicants fail to submit the required documents which affects admission status, he/she will be disqualified without further notice.
7. Please note that the certificate of Language Proficiency must be valid two(2) years from the submission date (TOPIK, TOEFL, IELTS, TEPS and New TEPS/exclude JLPT)
8. If applicants submit the scanned copies of documents, they must submit original documents later. If these two documents are not the same, your admission cannot be guaranteed.
9. All the submitted documents except the original diploma, graduation certificate will not be returned.
10. Applicant who is expected graduate after August must submit a verification or proof of application along with the other required documents by August 27. Failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification.
