Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development (EGY-AID) offers scholarship opportunities for international students to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and Arabic language studies at Egyptian universities and institutions. The programme supports academic development and international educational exchange, with opportunities for students to enhance their academic knowledge, research capabilities, professional skills, and intercultural understanding.

Fact Sheet

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFIT

• The scholarship covers school/university expenses, subject to the applicable scholarship regulations.
• Students from Anglophone and Francophone countries nominated for scholarships are exempt from tuition fees in language departments at Egyptian governmental universities, subject to stated exceptions.
• The scholarship is not applicable to private or national universities.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as students applying for Arabic language study at the Egyptian Centre for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers.
2. Candidates must meet the admission and eligibility requirements of their nominated Egyptian university/programme.
3. Scholarship applicants should have good academic performance; higher grades receive priority.
4. Applicants must submit the required academic and supporting documents.
5. For postgraduate applicants, approval to study at an Egyptian or highly ranked foreign university receives priority.
6. For the Arabic Language Cultural Centre, applicants must be able to successfully complete the preparatory level as a beginner and be no older than 32 years.

3. Personal statement/speech
4. Recommendation letter
5. Research proposal — for postgraduate applicants.
6. Passport copy, where required for scholarship approval/registration.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Candidates must first be nominated for the scholarship.
2. Register through the EGY-AID Scholarship Platform.
3. Complete the required university admission and scholarship procedures.
4. Submit the scholarship application through the EGY-AID platform by 15 September 2026.
5. Scholarship nominations are subsequently processed and distributed among eligible Egyptian universities.
