The China–AUN Scholarship and the ASEAN–China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) are flagship initiatives that play an important role in strengthening educational cooperation and people-to-people connectivity between ASEAN and China, while supporting the development of high-quality human capital in the region. Through these programmes, students and young professionals gain access to quality postgraduate education, research, and training opportunities at leading universities in China, with comprehensive financial support covering tuition fees, accommodation, living allowances, medical insurance, and, where applicable, international airfare. In addition to academic and research advancement, scholarship recipients benefit from international exposure, cross-cultural understanding, and professional networks, which enhance their leadership capacity and long-term career prospects, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to national and regional development upon their return.
