Greetings from South Korea!

The Korea Science Academy of KAIST is a prestigious secondary education institution dedicated to nurturing exceptionally talented students in science and mathematics. Operating under the academic philosophy of KAIST, the Academy provides an intensive, research-oriented curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and scientific inquiry. Through advanced coursework, mentorship, and early exposure to research, it aims to cultivate future scientists and global leaders in science and technology.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for The Korean Science Academy of KAIST International Admissions for the year 2027 is now open.

FINANCIAL AID

KSA will provide the following expenses free of charge.

    ※ F, G will be provided for selected students according to school policy.
  • A. Room and Board
  • B. Exeat Programs (eg. Korean Culture Experiences, once a month)
  • C. Special Holiday Programs (Twice a year)
  • D. Pre-enrollment Programs
  • E. National Health Insurance of Korea etc.

  • 1) Students who show outstanding academic performance will receive extra privileges according to school regulations.
  • 2) The provisions above may be changed according to school policy.

 

SELECTION PROCESS

1st Stage: Written Test (Mathematics)

  • The 1st Stage of the written test will be conducted online, and the manual of online test system will be uploaded on the notice board at KSA admission website.
  • It is strongly advised to read the manual thoroughly and familiarize yourself with the online test system.
  • All applicants are requested to ensure that they have the necessary setup for online testing, which is an stable network environment with a secure access to a computer, a monitor and a mobile phone.
  • KSA assumes no responsibility for any issues arising from the unavailability of requisite for online testing.

2nd Stage: Interviews (Mathematics & English)

  • The 2nd Stage applications are open exclusively to candidates who successfully passed the 1st Stage.
  • Assessment of Students Records
  • Further details regarding the 2nd Stage will be communicated to eligible candidates in due course.

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Applicants with foreign citizenship
  • Applicants who hold Korean Citizenship(dual citizenship) are not eligible to apply as foreign students
  • International applicants MUST ADDITIONALLY satisfy one of the following two requirements:
    1) Neither of the applicant’s parents is a Korean citizen, or
    2) For applicants of Korean Origin, he/she must have received his/her entire elementary and junior high(or middle) education outside of Korea at a comparable and equivalent level of that provided in Korea.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1.  Online Application Form
  2. Passport or National ID Copy (Applicant & Parents)
  3. Certificate of Facts Concerning Entry & Exit (Korean origins only)
  4. Personal Statement
  5. One Recommendation Letter
  6. Official Academic Records notarized in English (over the recent three years)
  7. Honors and Awards (over the recent three years, preferably in math or science) (if applicable)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Apply directly to The Korea Science Academy trough the Admission Website. Kindly refer to the website attached.
  2. The deadline is 02 February 2026.
  3. Final decision is from The Korea Science Academy.
