The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) sponsors the Digital GreenTalents – High Potentials in Sustainable Development Award to find solutions to these pressing issues and harness the great potential of the digital age for sustainable development.
Once again, we are looking for 20 highly motivated and talented young scientists from around the world who are excited about doing research on topics where digital technology and sustainable development meet. The Digital GreenTalents Award supports the international exchange of innovative digital ideas and offers a great opportunity for long-term cooperation with the German Digital GreenTech community.
What does the Digital GreenTalents Award 2025 include?
- Fully funded research stay in Germany in 2026 (for up to three months)
- SpringSchool in 2026 with workshops, excursions and networking
- Mentoring program
- Becoming part of the Global Digital GreenTalents network
What is expected?
- PhD students (or recent graduates) and students in the final year of a Master’s degree
- A strong focus on research topics combining digital technology and sustainability
- Not older than 30 years (time spent on childcare etc. can be considered)
- Very good English skills and above-average grades
