Greetings from Soongsil University!


Soongsil University
is a private research university located in Seoul, South Korea. It was founded in 1897 as the first modern law school in Korea and has since grown to become a comprehensive university with a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in various fields, including engineering, business, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. The university is known for its strong emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation, and its commitment to educating students to become global leaders in their respective fields. Soongsil University also has a number of research institutes and centers that focus on areas such as renewable energy, advanced materials, and smart city technologies, among others.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for Soongsil University International Summer School (SISS) 2025 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Soongsil University International Summer School will be held in 2 session, 4 weeks in July an August and 3 weeks in August. It would be a wonderful opportunity for students to learn Korean culture and language and mingle with international students. Universitas Gadjah Mada students will be provided with applicator fee waiver, full or half housing fee waiver scholarship, and partial program fee waiver scholarship.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Apply directly to Soongsil University. Kindly refer to http://summer.ssu.ac.kr/
  2. The deadline is 31 May 2025 (for Session I and II).
  3. The FINAL decision is from Soongsil University.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
