Greetings from Kansai University, Japan!  

Kansai University, located in Osaka, Japan, is a prestigious institution known for its commitment to academic excellence and innovation. Established in 1886, it has a rich history of providing quality education across various disciplines, including humanities, sciences, and engineering. The university is characterized by its vibrant campus life, diverse student body, and emphasis on global perspectives. We are pleased to inform you that the application for Kansai University Intensive Japanese Language and Culture Course (IJLC) is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

 

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Participants will engage in Japanese language lessons, cultural experiences, and field trips, with opportunities to interact closely with Kansai University students, who will serve as conversation partners. These interactions will deepen students’ understanding of Japanese life, culture, and current events while offering practice in both everyday and academic Japanese.

 

PROGRAM FEATURES

  • Language of Instruction: Japanese
  • Winter Term 1: January 14, 2025 – February 6, 2025 (24 days)
  • Winter Term 2: February 12, 2025 – February 26, 2025 (15 days)
  • Capacity: 45 participants (applications may close early if capacity is reached)

 

APPLICATION DEADLINES

  • Winter Term 1: Apply by October 31, 2024
  • Winter Term 2: Apply by November 20, 2024

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id
