Greeting From Sophia University!

We are pleased to inform that Sophia University has been selected as a UNESCO Chair on Education for Human Dignity, Peace and Sustainability and we will hold a commemorative symposium for this project online and in person from 17:00 to 19:00 (JST) on February 28, 2024. 

The UNESCO Chair is a team led by higher education or research institution that partners with UNESCO on a project to address the interdependent challenges of today’s increasing complex world.

This symposium will discuss the roles of UNESCO Chairs in transformation of education with representatives from UNESCO Regional Office in Bangkok and Sophia UNESCO Chair’s 8 partner institutions: Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), Asia Pacific Center of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU), Boston College, Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, Ateneo de Manila University, International Islamic University Malaysia, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Studies for Sustainability (UNU-IAS).
