Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is a prestigious public university located in Sintok, Kedah, Malaysia. Established in 1984, UUM is renowned for its excellence in management education and research, and it is considered one of the leading universities in the field within the country and the Southeast Asian region.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for Universiti Utara Malaysia Summer Cultural Xchange 2023 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Summer Cultural Xchange is a short-term non-credited mobility programme designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Malaysia’s vibrant culture, diversity, rich heritage, and academic excellence. During their time at UUM, students interact with our faculty members, collaborate with local students, and explore various academic disciplines through specialised workshops and lectures. Moreover, they will discover Malaysia’s wonders through organised cultural visits, community engagement projects, and exciting social events.

  • Duration: 20 August to 2 September 2023 (14 days or 2 weeks) or 2 months
  • Modes: Face-to-face and/or hybrid

  1. Cultural Kaleidoscope: Discovering Malaysia’s Food, Craft, Dance, and Heritage
  2. Malaysia, Truly Asia: Discovering the Diversity of Law & Governance
  3. Paddy Production Sustainability and Agro’Edu-Tourism: Floating Crops and Aquaculture Farming
  4. Malaysian Gastronomy: Discovering Malaysia’s Multi-ethnic Palate
