Greetings from Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt!

Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) is a public university of applied sciences located in Ingolstadt, Germany. It was founded in 1994 and has since become a renowned institution for engineering, business administration, and computer science. THI offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering, economics, information technology, and more. The university is known for its close cooperation with local and international businesses, which provides students with opportunities for practical experience and employment after graduation. SNEAK PEEK OF THE PROGRAMME

This summer school offers an intensive course on empirical technology ethics in the realm of digitization and AI applications. Next to gaining knowledge on prominent topics in this field, students will be coached to develop their own ideas of relevant research questions and how to address these with an empirical research project design.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Undergraduates with at least four semesters of study
  2. English Level B2 (European Framework) but C1 in Oral English is highly recommended
  3. Motivation letter to be uploaded during application process, please choose one of the following two tasks and write an essay of about 1,000 words:
  • Please describe a situation in which you felt negatively affected by the interaction with a technological device. Discuss whether the technology or its creators were responsible for your emotions
  • How does technology help you to become a better person?
