National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan)

National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, also known as Taiwan Tech, is a technological university situated in Taipei, Taiwan. It was established on August 1, 1974 as the first higher education institution of its kind within Taiwan’s technical and vocational education system.

Currently, Taiwan Tech has 14 departments and 9 graduate schools organized into six colleges, including College of Engineering, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, School of Management, College of Design, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and College of Applied Sciences. Taiwan Tech has five campuses: the main Taipei campus and branch campuses at Tu-Cheng, Keelung, Gong-Guan, and Chupei, with a combined total area of 29.44 hectares. The main campus situated in a district with convenient transportation and beautiful surroundings, covers an area of about 10 hectares.

 

Taiwan Tech has over 20 specialized research centers, focusing on research in basic science and applied science, as well as university-industry and international cooperation. Taiwan Tech has a library which stands on 5.132 square meters of floor space with about 630 seats in its reading facilities.
