Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Program (ITEC) is a bilateral assistance program run by the Government of India. It is a demand-driven, response-oriented program that focuses on addressing the needs of developing countries through innovative technological cooperation between India and the partnering nation. Along with its corollary the Special Commonwealth Assistance for Africa Program, ITEC covers 158 countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, and several Pacific and Caribbean nations. Since its inception, the program has spent over US $ 2 billion and benefited thousands of students and professionals from around the globe and annual expenditure on the program has averaged US $ 100 million per annum in recent years.

Eligibility
- 3rd to 6th-semester undergraduate students (S1)
- 3rd to 4th-semester graduate students (S2/S3)
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
Required Documents
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivation Letter
- Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
- Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
- Study Plan
- Official Academic Transcript
- Colored Copy of Passport
- English language proficiency (Min. Score of TOEFL – ITP=550, iBT 79 or IELTS 6.0)
- Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
Application Procedure
- Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form:http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication Before the due date for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application.
- Once you are selected as Nominated Student, OIA will send your official nomination to the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Program (ITEC) and you may proceed to the online application for host-university selection.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
- Application of outgoing mobility for spring/even semester in AY 2020/2021 will be processed but the implementation/execution will carefully consider the latest development of COVID-19 and government’s regulation.
