Warm greetings from Kyushu University in Japan!

Kyushu University is one of the public universities in Japan, located in Fukuoka, on the island of Kyushu. It is the 4th oldest university in Japan and one of the former Imperial Universities. It is considered as one of the most prestigious research-oriented universities in Japan. The history of Kyushu University can be traced back to the medical schools of the Fukuoka feudal domain established in 1867. More than 28,000 students study at the university, of which more than 1,800 students are international. The university is ranked among the top 200 in the world.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for the Kyushu University College of Asia Pacific (CAP) Program is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

Program Description

CAP is a collaborative education program among Japanese and international students based on PBL (Problem-Based Learning) and TBL (Team-Based Learning) provided by the International Student Center at Kyushu University. Participants will gather online and the program will be conducted by lecturers of the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa. This program will encourage the participants to seek solutions to common problems faced by countries in the Asia Pacific region through active discussion with university students from different cultural backgrounds.

Program Period: Tuesday, August 10 – Saturday, August 21, 2021 (Japan Time)

Application Deadline: Wednesday, June 9, 2021 (Japan Time)

 

Eligibility

  1. Undergraduate students (S1)
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  3. Be proficient in English. Non-native English speakers must have a score of at least TOEFL 460 or higher (or the equivalent)

  1. Application Form-1
  2. Academic Transcript
  3. Language Proficiency Certificate (TOEFL or IELTS)
  4. Statement of English Proficiency Form
  5. Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
  6. All the required documents listed on the Online Application

 

Application Procedures

  1. Proceed to the Online Application process from the University’s website and the Application Package no later than June 9th, 2021 (Japan Time).
  2. After you submit the Online Application, submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication for the official nomination from UGM.
  3. The FINAL decision from Kyushu University.
