We are pleased to inform you that the call for Tohoku University Japanese Program (TUJP) Online is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.
[TUJP Online-1] Japanese Communication Program
・Date: December 1st – December 14th, 2020 (2weeks)
・Eligibility: Basic learners
・Curriculum: Japanese Language Lessons, Japanese Culture Lessons, Project-Based Learning Workshops with Japanese students
[TUJP Online-2] Academic Japanese Program
・Date: January 13th – February 2nd, 2021(3weeks)
・Eligibility: Pre-intermediate or Intermediate learners
・Curriculum: Japanese Language Lessons, Japanese Culture Lessons, Specialized Humanities Classes taught in Japanese
Note :
- All classes will be provided via Google Classroom, Google Meet or Zoom Meeting secured by Tohoku University.
- All the fees must be paid via our online payment system by the deadline.
- (Valid Credit Card: VISA, Mastercard, JCB, and AMERICAN EXPRESS)
- Processing charge (approx.1,000 JPY) will be added.
- Refund is not possible once students have made a payment of the Program fee.
Program Fee
- [TUJP Online-1] 30,000 JPY
- [TUJP Online-2] 50,000 JPY
Eligibility
- 5th to 6th-semester undergraduate students (S1)
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
- Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
- Be proficient in English. Non-native English speakers must have a score of at least TOEFL ITP 550, TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5.
Required Documents
- Official Academic Transcript
- Color copy of the passport
- Motivation Letter (300-400 words)
- Certificate of English proficiency test (ex. TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS)
- Result of TTBJ/SPOT90 Online Japanese Test (if any)
- Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
Application Procedure
- Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form:http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than October 16th, 2020 for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Tohoku University and you may proceed to the online application via this link
- The FINAL decision from Tohoku University
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
