Yamagata University is an institution that boasts a long history and tradition starting with its commencement as the Yamagata Normal School in 1878, and subsequently being founded as part of the new national university system.
It is a University that vaunts an impressive scale in Eastern Japan today, maintaining 6 Facilities, 7 Graduate Schools, Yamagata University Hospital, and 4 affiliated schools that include kindergarten, elementary and junior high schools.
We are pleased to inform you that the Application for Student Exchange in Agriculture 2020/2021 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

Eligibility
- 3rd to 6th-semester undergraduate students (S1)
- 3rd to 4th-semester graduate students (S2)
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
Required Documents
- Curriculum Vitae (with formal photograph)
- Current Official Academic Transcript
- Undergraduate Official Academic Transcript (for master students)
- Letter of Recommendation
- Pledge (attached in the above guidelines)
- Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
- Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
- Motivation Letter
- Colored Copy of Passport
- English language proficiency (Min. Score of TOEFL – ITP=530, iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0)
- Certificate of Japanese language proficiency (if any)
- Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
Application Procedure
- Submit the aforementioned documents to the Office of International Affairs, UGM (Bulaksumur F-13) for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application.
- Once you are selected as Nominated Student, OIA will send your official nomination to Yamagata University for host-university selection.
- The FINAL decision from the Yamagata University
