Special Scholarship Program (SSP)

the Special Scholarship Program is a 3-year English-medium doctoral program designed for highly capable doctoral students. Successful applicants are entitled to receive the following benefits:

  1. Exempted from all the required student fees
  2. ¥150,000/month for research project work
  3. ¥150,000 for travel and initial living cost (given only to international applicants who are living outside Japan)

Document Requirements

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  2. Motivation Letter
  3. Nomination Letter from Faculty
  4. Letter of participation
  5. Colored copy of Passport (ID page)
  6. Photographs (4.5 cm x 5.0 cm)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to the Office of International Affairs, UGM (Bulaksumur F-12) for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application.
  3. Once you are selected as Nominated participants, OIA will process your application to CAECW Committee
  4. The FINAL decision from CAECW Committee
Please send all documents above in hardcopy (2 COPIES) to the Office of International Affairs, UGM (Bulaksumur Block F-12) and softcopy (compiled in 1 PDF file) to scholarship@ugm.ac.id no later than 1  September 2019.
