Summer Course on Smart Integrated Farming For Sustainable Agriculture

Universitas Gadjah Mada proudly presents Summer Course Program 2019, organized by Agro-technology Innovation Center (AIC). Summer Course program will be held on July 15-24, 2019.

 

BACKGROUND
By 2050, the agriculture and food sector of the world economy will have to meet the food demands for 10 billion people, about 50% more than the present population. Furthermore, the competition among food with animal feed and also biofuel production is getting intense. Agro-technology Innovation Center (PIAT UGM), as an interface of researchers, industrial sector, farmers and government, is really concern about the issue. In this center, the farming system is applying a close loop system and integration among crops, livestock, industries and waste treatment. To encourage a synergy between smart farming system and clean renewable energy for future sustainable agriculture, this year UGM proudly presents Summer Course Program on Smart Integrated Farming For Sustainable Agriculture.

The program will be coached by representative from educators, social activists, and researchers that involved in series of discussion and sharing ideas. Through this Summer Course program, students and profesionals around the world can learn more about this issue and its real situation in the field. The younger generation has a very important part in the agricultural sector, where the role of agriculture student and professional are being more considered. By understanding various ways of smart farming system and clean renewable energy, the participants could share, if not yet implementing, their knowledge and experience when they return to their hometown to inspire their surroundings then.

COURSE FEE
Indonesian/ UGM Student IDR 4.000.000,-
International Student USD 800,-

Important Notes:

  1. The program fee includes student dormitory, local transportation, and most meal during the program.
  2. The program fee excludes flight ticket for the participant

You are required to pay for the registration fee as soon as possible, or until June 15, 2019.
