Pursuant to the 1st ASEAN Student Affairs Meeting at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand  on 29-31 October 2015, the Meeting agreed that the 16th AUN and 5th ASEAN+3 Educational Forum and Young Speakers’ Contest will be hosted by Mahidol University. The Forum will be convened at Mahidol University on 7-10 November 2016 under the theme “Sustainable Development through Community Engagement”.

The Forum, one of the flagship youth activities of AUN first launched in 1998, aims to build up in-depth ASEAN awareness to the future leaders in the region and its dialogue partners: China, Japan, and Korea. The Forum also serves as a platform for the youths of ASEAN+3 to express their concerns for the region and their perception of its future through policy oriented proposals. The 16th AUN and 5th ASEAN+3 Educational Forum and Young Speakers’ Contest will include four main academic and non-academic activities:

  1. Educational Forum
  2. Young Speaker’s Contest
  3. Special Lectures
  4. Excursion

In this regard, the AUN Secretariat and Mahidol University would like to invite 2 students (1 for Educational Forum and 1 for speakers contest) and 1 accompanying faculty member as Universitas Gadjah Mada representatives to the aforementioned event.

Following our common practice on cost sharing basis, the host university is responsible for the organizing and local arrangement including accommodations, local transportation, materials, and meals. The participants are requested to bear their own airfares to Bangkok, registration fee USD 100 and travel insurance.

Requirement:

  1. Application form (choose one)
    • Educational Forum Registration Form
    • Young Speaker Contest Registration Form
    • Faculty Member Registration Form
  2. Copy of student ID
  3. Curriculum vitae
