YSEALI Seeds for the Future is a small grants competition for youth leaders in Southeast Asia. Part of the U.S. State Department’s larger Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) initiative launched by President Barack Obama in 2013 to strengthen youth leadership, development and networking in Southeast Asia, Seeds for the Future provides funding of up to $20,000 for the region’s most promising youth leaders to carry out projects that improve their communities, countries and the region.

UGM students are invited to UTeM Global Outreach Program 2015 (UGoReach Program). This program exposes participants to the essence of Malaysia and within the two weeks stay in Melaka Malaysia, the participants will get to go through our special technical / entrepreneurship program, the participants will experience the real Malaysian countryside lifestyle through the Homestay Program with selected local families and the participants will also get the chance to explore the tropical rain forest at National Park in Pahang.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the history, the ecosystem of undisturbed rainforest in Malaysia, the nature, the cultures and the society of Malaysia, and will have a memorable experience. This UTeM Global Outreach Program will be from 3rd August until 18th August 2015. The registration is open from now until 30th June 2015. Japan is the only country in the world to suffer from atomic bombs and a nuclear power disaster. Energy is a major issue in the world today so it is important to learn about and discuss this issue together. For this program participants students are from universities in the USA, France, Germany, Turkey, Indonesia and Vietnam. These are countries which already use nuclear power or are considering it. The program will include visits to the Peace Park and Museum in Hiroshima and a nuclear power plant. You will discuss the science of nuclear power and related policy issues. No expertise in nuclear physics is required.
The program will also include Japanese cultural activities, a 3-day home stay and opportunities to have exchange with Japanese students.
Date: Sept. 10-24 (Must arrive in Matsuyama on Sept. 9)
Place: Ehime University, Matsuyama, Japan
Lodging: Students will stay together in a kind of youth hostel near the campus.
Cost: Students will receive a ¥80,000 scholarship from the Japan Student
Services Organization (JASSO) which will cover 90% of their
expenses in Matsuyama (program fees, housing and most meals).
Students must pay for their airfare to and from Matsuyama

On behalf of the Higher Education Leadership Academy and the ProSPER.Net Secretariat at the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) ProSPER.Net Secretariat invite UGM PhD students to particiate for the 2015 ProSPER.Net Leadership Programme “Transformational Leadership in Implementing and Assessing Sustainability Projects”, to be held in Sabah, Malaysia from 23 to 29 August 2015. This year’s programme will be held in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS).
The ProSPER.Net Leadership Programme provides opportunities for participants to develop inter-disciplinary skills to lead sustainable development initiatives appropriate to local, regional or global contexts. The tentative programme (attachment) outlines the ways in which participants will have an opportunity to gain skills in communication and consensual decision-making processes, gain competencies in adaptive leadership, enhance critical and systems thinking abilities and learn project planning, implementation, management and assessment through problem-based learning cases in the community.
Resources have been committed to provide fellowships for selected participants, who will benefit from exposure to a wide range of expertise from the Higher Education Leadership Academy and ProSPER.Net community. The local costs will be borne by the Higher Education Leadership Academy.

On behalf of TERI University and the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), ProSPER.Net Secretariat invite UGM students to participate in the 2015 ProSPER.Net Young Researchers’ School (YRS), to be held at TERI University in New Delhi, India from 5 to 16 October 2015.
The main goal of the YRS is to provide graduate students with an opportunity to better understand the spectrum of challenges that underpin sustainable development. By assembling these young researchers together for an intensive 2-week workshop, the school also fosters the growth of a network of sustainability scholars and professionals in the Asia-Pacific region.
The theme of the 2015 school will be ‘Sustainable Energy for Transforming Lives: Availability, Accessibility, Affordability’. A preliminary programme (Attachment ) outlines the ways in which students will be exposed to issues related to sustainable energy, and for them to begin developing research responses to several challenges that provide integrative solutions as considering energy efficiency and renewable energy.
This programme is designed to provide students with valuable learning opportunities as well as a platform to contribute ideas. Features of the programme include:
Team building and group work on discovering research questions and developing proposals on sustainability issues.
Development of communication skills through presentation of research plans developed during the school as well as their own dissertations. These will be discussed with leading scholars from TERI University and other ProSPER.Net member universities.
Field visits to talk with local community and students developing sustainable initiatives.
Participants are encouraged to secure their own sources of funding. On a competitive basis, a limited number of scholarships will support the full participation of highly qualified PhD students from different ProSPER.Net member universities. These scholarships will cover: (i) the costs of tuition for the YRS; (ii) return economy class travel to and from Delhi; (iii) local travel within New Delhi and adjacent areas; (iv) accommodation; and (v) most meals. Please observe that travel insurance shall be covered by the participants.

SENAI is offering 7 FULL SCHOLARSHIPS to Indonesian students interested in participating in the International Summer Program 2015 from ESADE Business School (June 29th to July 24th 2015). We would appreciate if you could share this information with your students.
These scholarships are for the full program (4 WEEKS PROGRAM). We offer 3 scholarships for the English itinerary and 4 more for the Spanish itinerary. The normal cost would be 3.450 EUROS if not scholarship is given.

This summer, additional to its language course, Saxion is organising its new Summer School Programme. Offering 8 challenging courses, focused on developing professional and personal skills. Students can either choose 1 of the individual 1-week courses or choose a 2-to-4 week course combination.
The Summer School is offered to first-to-last year bachelor students and students recently graduated from high school. The student must master English at a level of (at least) IELTS 6.0 to be able to join the Summer School.
