The Study Visits Programme is a strategic mobility initiative organized by the Tempus Public Foundation with full funding support from the Hungarian Government. Designed to strengthen international academic and research cooperation, the program focuses on enhancing human resource capacity within the higher education and research sectors. This initiative serves as a catalyst for fostering global institutional partnerships and facilitating high-level knowledge exchange.
We are pleased to inform you that the application for Hungary Study Visits Programme is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.
Program Duration
The study visit program is divided into two categories:
- Short-term program: 3 to 29 days
- Long-term program: 1 to 6 months
Linked Resource
ELIGIBILITY
- Graduate students (Master’s/S2) or Doctoral students (PhD/S3)
- Possess a minimum educational qualification of a Master’s degree (S2)
- Have a study or research field relevant to the host institution in Hungary
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Be proficient in English

- Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
- Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
- Letter of Recommendation from the Academic Advisor
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivation Letter
- Colored Copy of Passport
- Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
- Passport Size Photo
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than 12 February 2026 for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination and you may proceed to the online application no later than 19 February 2026
- The FINAL decision is from Tempus Public Foundation
IMPORTANT NOTES
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
