Greetings from the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan!

 

National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) is a leading public university located in Pingtung County, Taiwan. Renowned for its strong emphasis on agriculture, environmental science, engineering, and veterinary medicine, NPUST has established itself as a hub for innovation and sustainability in Asia. We are pleased to inform you that the application for the 2025 New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program by National Pingtung University of Science and Technology is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The program will be held on 8 September 2025 to 9 January 2026. This all-English program is designed to enhance academic cooperation and promote cultural exchange among countries covered by Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy.

The program curriculum focuses on smart and sustainable agriculture, including subjects such as Engineering, Plant Industry, Animal Science, Aquaculture, Food Science, and Biotechnology.

POGRAM BENEFIT (PROVIDE BY NPUST)

  1. Round-trip economy-class airfare reimbursement (up to NTD 20,000)

  2. Full tuition waiver, including Chinese language courses

  3. Monthly scholarship of NTD 8,000 (NTD 4,000 for the partial months of September and January)

  4. Dormitory accommodation

  5. Medical insurance

  6. Monthly off-campus visits arranged by the Office of International Affairs of NPUST

 

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Undergraduate students (S1) who have completedat least 2 semesters,  or Graduate students (S2/S3)
  2. Students are required to take a minimum of 12 academic credits in agriculture-related courses.

  3. Students are required to take Chinese language classes (held on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:10 AM to 12:00 PM)

  4. Students must not be receiving any financial assistance from the government or any institution in Taiwan.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Apply directly to National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. Kindly refer to the registration link. 
  2. The deadline is 22 June 2025.
  3. The FINAL decision is from National Pingtung University of Science and Technology.
