The University of Birmingham, a prestigious Russell Group university in the United Kingdom, is renowned for its world-class research, diverse student community, and vibrant campus life. We are pleased to inform you that the application for Birmingham International Summer School (BISS) 2025 is now open for Gadjah Mada University.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

BISS is week academic summer schools equivalent to 20 UK credits, with discounted-fee places for students from current exchange partners and EDI scholarships for students from under-represented backgrounds. It offers four exciting academic topics during the day, and a cultural and social activities in the evening and weekends.

Academic programmes: British Cultural Heritage, Economics, Film & Media, and Biomedical Science, Clinical Care, and Population Health. 

 

Summer School dates 

Arrival : Sunday  20th July 2025

Summer School : 21st July – 8th August 2025

Departure: Saturday 9th August 2025

 

INFO SESSION

In February 2025, students and partners can join drop-in information sessions or weekly Zoom sessions on Wednesdays 15:00 (UK time) and on Mondays 09:00 (UK time) or

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Apply directly to University of Birmingham. Kindly refer to this following link.
  2. The deadline:EDI Partnership Places nomination deadline: 15 March 2025Partnership places application deadline: 29 March 2025Full price application deadline: 12 May 2025
  3. The FINAL decision is from  University of Birmingham.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
