About this course
Pulmonary artery hypertension is a disease caused by an increase in pulmonary vascular resistance and an increase in the mean pulmonary artery pressure. In pulmonary arterial hypertension, there is a remodeling process in the pulmonary vessels which causes the pulmonary blood flow to slow down and the pulmonary pressure to increase.
Although it is a disease with a rare prevalence, pulmonary arterial hypertension has a high morbidity and mortality rate. Until now, the recognition and diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension is still a problem for medical doctors or clinicians because there is no special lecture on pulmonary arterial hypertension at the medical student level. Therefore, this international course will provide lectures on the etiology, pathophysiology, clinical division, diagnosis, management and prognosis associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension. The emphasis in a comprehensive management of pulmonary artery hypertension is an important core in this international course.
