Stipendium Hungaricum, being the most prestigious higher education scholarship programme of the Hungarian Government, offers a wide range of courses for international students of excellent academic track record. The scholarship aims to support the internationalization of the Hungarian higher education and its constant development, to strengthen the international relations of the academic and research community, and to promote the good reputation and competitiveness of the Hungarian higher education throughout the world.kk
Founded by the Hungarian Government in 2013, the programme is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and managed by the Tempus Public Foundation.
We are pleased to inform you about the opening of the new Stipendium Hungaricum Call for Applications for studies starting in the academic year 2022-2023. There will be two programs, full degree and partial (exchange) study modes, in accordance with the relevant bilateral educational cooperation agreement.

Eligibility
- Those who apply for partial (exchange) studies must be registered in Universitas Gadjah Mada as student
- Currently have a student status as Undergraduate (S1) and Graduate (S2 & S3) students
- Be proficient in English or Hungarian Language. The level of proficiency needed may vary, according to your host institution in Hungary. Please visit the online application system to see the exact language criteria for each study programme.

- Online Application Form (through Stipendium Hungaricum’ website)
- Motivation Letter
- Proof of language proficiency and their translations in the language of the selected study programme, or in Hungarian
- School certificates and their translations in the language of the selected study programme or in Hungarian
- Research Plan (for PhD programme)
- Letter of Recommendation
- Statement of the Supervisor (for PhD programme, if required by the proposed Doctoral School)
- Transcript of Records and its translations in the language of the selected study programme or in Hungarian
- Copy of Identification Document
- Acceptance of Statement for Application in the online system
- Medical Certificate
Application Procedure
- Ranging from November-December 2021, you can find your chosen program of study. Available study fields differ from partner country to partner country. You can either check the study field provided for your country at the SH website or You can start an application in the DreamApply system and select the relevant study programme. You can check the list of sending partners and eligible study fields here.
- In December 2021, you can register the application and documents needed to university of your choice. If you apply for doctoral studies, please remember that you need to find a supervisor.
- Finish the application of Stipendium Hungaricum no later than January 15th, 2022.
- THE FINAL decision is from Tempus Public Foundation. No nomination needed from OIA UGM. But if you need a nomination letter from Universitas Gadjah Mada, please submit your aforementioned documents through http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication
