[PhD Fellowship] Fellowship for International Research Scholars in Technology (FIRST) at IIT Hyderabad

Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH) is  top 10 ranked institutes of India, currently having 243 full-time faculty, 3397 students an nearly 200 state-of-art laboratories and five research enterpreneurship centers.  IITH has to its credit more than 6000 research publications,195+ patent disclosures, 1440 sponsored/consultancy projects and about 50 startups.

Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH) is offering Fellowship for International Research Scholars in Technology scheme for supporting bright and motivated international research scholars for pursuing PhD at IITH with full financial support.

Eligibility 

  1. Foreign nationals with excellent academic qualifications having a master’s degree in the relevant disciplines and a minimum CGPA of 8.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent
  2. Degree from a topline university in their respective countries, Research output in terms of publications/patents will be given a weightage during shortlisting (desirable).

  2. Forward the completed Application form along with electronic copies of the testimonials along with one reference letter to first.iar@iith.ac.in
  3. Request at least one referee to send a reference letter to first.iar@iith.ac.in
  4. There is no Application Fees & Last date to send Application by Email is October 30, 2021 by 17:00 IST
  5. If you need a nomination letter from Universitas Gadjah Mada, please submit your document through email at scholarship@ugm.ac.id.
  6. The FINAL decision from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH).

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • The implementation/execution of this program will be carefully reconsidered depends on the latest development of COVID-19 and the government’s regulation
  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
