Warm greetings from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan!
Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS (“AYSEAS”) is organized annually by Tokyo Tech and partner universities to bring together students from universities in Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam for a 10-day joint educational program hosted by a participating university in Southeast Asia. Through site visits, discussions, and group work with fellow participants from different backgrounds, AYSEAS participants learn about and experience the dynamism of rapidly growing ASEAN countries.
We are pleased to announce the application period for the Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS 2021 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.
Eligibility
- 3rd to 6th-semester undergraduate students (S1)
- 3rd to 4th-semester graduate students (S2/S3)
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
Required Documents
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivation Letter
- Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
- Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
- Study Plan
- Official Academic Transcript
- Colored Copy of Passport
- English language proficiency (Min. Score of TOEFL – ITP=550, iBT 79 or IELTS 6.0)
- Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
Application Procedure
- Finish the application to Tokyo Institute of Technology directly. (Application is possible via the link) before 18th June 2021 (Application guideline)
- Submit all documents to the Office of International Affairs, UGM for official nomination. to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication.
- OIA will send your nomination to Tokyo Institute of Technology
- THE FINAL decision from Tokyo Institute of Technology
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Submission of all documents to the Office of International Affairs UGM is not mandatory. It is only for students who would like to get the official nomination/recommendation from UGM. Therefore, the submission to Samara University directly is enough.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
