[South Korea] Hanyang University ERICA 2021 Fall Semester Exchange Student Program

Hanyang University is happy to inform you that we begin accepting your nominations for 2021 Fall
semester. This instruction only applies to 2021 Fall nominations as we are not yet ready to receive
nominations for future semesters. Also the nomination is not needed for a student currently studying at
Hanyang who wishes to extend their stay for another term. There is a separate process for study period
extension and we will share the instruction upon request.

Every semester, we try our best to help students register courses they desire as much as possible. However, as our academic system works on first-come-first-served basis, their preferred choices of courses are NOT GUARANTEED. So we ask exchange students to be flexible with their course preferences.

Eligibility

  1. 3rd to 6th-semester undergraduate students (S1)
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  3. Be proficient in English, proven by English Proficiency Certificate

Required Documents 

  1. Application Form (to be filled in upon nomination from UGM)
  2. Motivation Letter & Study Plan (Purpose of Study)
  3. Official Transcript (English version with University logo and stamp)
  4. Curriculum Vitae 
  5. Certificate of English Proficiency (submit iBT, TOEFL, IELTS certificate and fill in form)
  6. Letter of Nomination from Faculty (*addressed to Head of Office of International Affairs)
  7. Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
  8. Letter of Recommendation/Reference from Academic Advisor
  9. Colored Copy of Passport (should be valid until 6 months or longer after the end date of program)
  10. Passport-size Photos (Colored copy, Face only, JPEG format, 20KB or less)
  11. Health Insurance Certificate
  12. Financial Affidavit Form

 

Application Procedure

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents combined in one pdf format to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later April 14th, 2021 for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Hanyang University and you may proceed to the online application.
  3. The FINAL decision from Hanyang University.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep a copy of the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
  • Application of outgoing mobility for fall/odd semester in AY 2021/2022 will be processed but the implementation/execution will carefully consider the latest development of COVID-19 and government’s regulation.
