[Austria] OeAD Student Housing – Online Short Course 2021

Warm greetings from OeAD Student Housing in Austria!

The OeAD student housing as the winner of the Austrian Climate Protection Award 2013 is one of the largest providers of student dorms in Austria and accommodates about 12.000 tenants per year. The non-profit company caters exclusively to international exchange students, offering short-term study visits abroad and providing student-friendly accommodation.

This year, OeAD Student Housing offers English-speaking online programs for students who are interested in exploring ideas for a green future through two main programs: Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems (AEMS) and Green.Building.Solutions. (GBS). Moreover, there are scholarship offerings for eligible and outstanding participants.

The AEMS summer school focuses on alternatives to the economic status quo and unstable financial systems and is open to students from all fields. Participants learn why a drastic system change is necessary to stabilize the world climate at 1.5°C and also dive into solutions for the financial crisis triggered by Covid-19. Meanwhile, as a Master-level program, the GBS summer university invites students of architecture, construction, engineering and similar fields to deepen their knowledge in passive house planning, sustainable urban development, new energy technologies, innovative architecture and ecological design and incorporate the gained knowledge in a group design project.

Eligibility

  1. Undergraduate students (S1) or Graduate students (S2/S3)
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program

 

Required Documents

  1. A brief motivational statement of how you want to a sustainable development 
  2. Curriculum Vitae
  3. Copy of passport photo identification page
  4. Passport picture
  5. Official Academic Transcript record (issued in English)

 

Application Procedures

  1. Check the Program Package link inserted above
  2. Proceed to the Online Application and submit the aforementioned documents no later than May 1st, 2021.
  3. The FINAL decision from OeAD Student Housing.
