Greetings from South Korea!

Kangwon National University (KNU), situated in Chuncheon, South Korea, stands as a prominent institution of higher learning with a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1947. Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Gangwon Province, KNU offers an idyllic setting for academic pursuit and personal growth. Renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and innovation, the university provides a diverse array of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs across various disciplines, including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, business, health sciences, and arts.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for the Kangwon National University 2026 KNU Summer Program is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

  • Application Deadline: February – early May (first come, first served)
  • Program period: July 23 – August 5, 2026
  • Benefits: Issuance of university transcript with 2 university credits 
  • Eligibility: Undergraduate students with English proficiency who are interested in Korean language and culture
  • Program fee: USD 700 (₩ 1,000,000)
  • Activities: Korean language class, special lectures, cultural exchanges such as Taekwondo, Seoul trip, water activities, temple stay, cooking Korean food, etc.
  • How to Apply:  Please review the program leaflet and [FAQ] on the website, complete the application form (Excel file), and submit it by email.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Apply directly to Kangwon National University. 
  2. The deadline is February – early May (first come, first served)
  3. The FINAL decision is from Kangwon National University. 

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
