ENGLISH MODULES BACHELOR DEGREE PROGRAMMES: BA COMMUNICATION AND BA CREATIVE BUSINESS (CO+CB)

The bachelor programmes Creative Business and Communication offer a curriculum with courses called Stones. Stones are integrated modules of 15 ECTS. International students can participate in English-taught Stones or a Challenge at various levels and work together with Dutch students. Grading of the Stones is also integrated, and all students will receive one grade for either the 15 ECTS Stone or the 30 ECTS Challenge. International students can either take one Stone, two Stones or one Challenge.

The difference between a Stone and a Challenge
A Stone (15 ECTS) lasts for 10 weeks and a Challenge (30 ECTS) for 20 weeks. In the 15 ECTS Stones, students work on an industry-related case, learning and using the appropriate knowledge, skills and research and reflecting on this process. In a Challenge, students solve a ‘wicked problem’: a problem for which the formal question has not yet been fully defined, such as which stakeholders and/or target groups are involved.
