We are pleased to inform you that the application for Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Exchange Program for Fall Semester and International Summer Session (ISS) 2025 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
1.Intensive Korean Program
Intensive Korean Program (200 hours, 10 weeks) is a partially fee-paying program.
Course Fee:
i) Exemption for students with a major or minor in Korea/Korean Language, East-Asian Studies, Oriental Studies, International Studies with a focus on Korea, Translation with a focus on Korean
ii) Major/Minor not listed above: 1,660,000 KRW = 800,000 (student) + 860,000 (HUFS)
2.Survival Korean Language Program (aka Practical Korean)
Survival Korean Program includes 30 hours of coursework over 6 weeks and does not come with any course fee for all participating students. This course aims to help make the Korean language more approachable for students who wish to ease into the language during their stay at HUFS. Students may apply for this program regardless of their major (including Korean majors). Application for this program will open via a separate application form closer to the start of the semester.

3. Dormitory Placement
Dormitory assignments will be given on a first come first serve basis when students apply for it through the online application on the HUFS portal website.
ELIGIBILITY
- Undergraduate students (S1) or Graduate students (S2/S3)
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Be proficient in English

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than 10 April 2025 for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to HUFS and you may proceed to the online application.
- The FINAL decision is from HUFS.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
