[Finland] Aalto University – Summer Research Programme 2025

Greetings from Aalto University, Finland!

Aalto University is a multidisciplinary institution in Espoo, Finland, merging science, business, art, and design. Founded in 2010, it fosters creativity, innovation, and collaboration to address global challenges. Aalto is dedicated to cutting-edge research, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, offering a dynamic environment for students, researchers, and industry partners.

We are pleased to inform you that the Aalto Science Institute from Aalto University has begun accepting applications for the Summer Research Program 2025. The Summer Research Program offers for BSc and MSc students. The Aalto Science Institute is hosting its annual International Summer Research Programme from June to August 2025 (start dates are flexible). This highly competitive programme offers students a chance to gain hands-on research experience, enhance their academic credentials, and build international networks in a vibrant, multicultural environment.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Undergraduate students (S1) or Graduate students (S2/S3) in at least 2nd year of study from any major
  2. Be proficient in English

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Motivation letter
  2. Curriculum vitae
  3. Offical transcript
  4. Letter of recommendation
  5. Proof of sufficient English skills (TOEFL, IELTS, or other standard test is recommended but not required. Alternatively: a statement from the university/language course regarding your language skills, a seminar report or something you have written as part of your studies to demonstrate your competence in written English, anything else which in your judgement clearly indicates your English level)
  6. Any other document you wish to attach to support your application. In general it is better to have further documents available on a website and specify the link in your motivation letter and/or CV (not compulsory)

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  2. The deadline is January 31, 2025.
  3. The FINAL decision is from  Aalto University.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
