Greetings from UTAR!

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), established in 2002 in Malaysia, has rapidly grown into a prestigious institution renowned for its academic excellence and research contributions. Named after Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, UTAR embodies his vision of accessible higher education and intellectual advancement.

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia, invites you to embark on a unique 5-week virtual journey through sustainable cities across the globe! Inspired by Ferdinand Magellan, the MWST 3.0 themed “Discover Urban Nature: Step into a Sustainable Future” offers an exploration of the world’s innovative practices in sustainable urban living—all from the comfort of your home.

This year’s program focuses on the concept of green cities, addressing how urban areas can reduce their environmental footprint while enhancing quality of life. Join us to learn from cities around the world, gain insight into sustainable development practices, and be part of a community committed to a greener future.
