Greetings from UC Chile, Chile!
The term “UC Chile” likely refers to Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Spanish), a prestigious and well-respected university located in Santiago, Chile. Founded in 1888, it is one of the oldest and most prominent universities in Chile and Latin America. UC Chile is known for its high academic standards and offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various fields, including science, technology, engineering, humanities, social sciences, and the arts.
We are pleased to inform you that the application for UC Chile is offering a few programs for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.
The programs offered are:
1. Pallqa Indonesia
We are currently collaborating with friends and colleagues from Pohon Sagoe. We started this collaboration in 2023, sending 7 students to work on health and education projects. The first group worked in West Seram, Maluku, and the second group in 2024 worked on Aboru Island. Now, we will be sending 3 students to Aboru to work on health, education, and nutrition projects during January and February 2025. More information can be found here: Pallqa Project 2023. If there are students from health sciences, English as a second language, or nutrition who wish to join us, please let me know so I can consult our partners, as we have built this project together and their input is very important to us.
2. Global Research
The program aims to enhance and stimulate research collaboration at a global level, connecting UC Chile researchers with master’s and senior undergraduate international students in new, creative, and innovative research opportunities. International students can apply starting October 26, and if selected, they can begin their research project virtually or in Chile in 2025. This is the third version of the program, which has been very successful, providing international students the opportunity to develop their research with our faculty members. More information here: Global Research Program.
3. Summer/Winter Programs
