[Thailand] ASEAN University Network (AUN) – Thailand Summer Programme 2024

Greetings from Thailand!

We are pleased to inform you that Mahidol University and Chulalongkorn University, Thailand are co-hosting the AUN-Thailand Summer Programme 2024 the application is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

AUN – Thailand Summer camp [CU x MU] aims to introduce students to the vibrant landscape of medical tourism in Thailand while aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. The initiative offers a unique educational opportunity for students to explore and comprehend the intricate interplay between healthcare practices, cultural contexts, and economic considerations in a globalized world. AUN students will gain firsthand insights into the field of medical tourism and the similarities and differences between Thai traditional and Western medicine. This immersive experience contributes directly to Goal 3 by fostering an understanding of diverse healthcare systems, promoting cross-cultural collaboration, and addressing the global challenges associated with ensuring access to quality healthcare for all.

Dates: 1-12 July 2024

Program Information

Program Fee will be waived for students nominated by Home University AUN Members (Max 3 per University). The program fee covers accommodation during program, airport transfer, meals during program, local transport during program, cultural visits/programs and certificate. Participants must cover their own expenses: International Flight, International Insurance, and Personal Expenses.

Eligilibity 

  1. Undergraduate students (S1)
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  3. Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  4. Be proficient in English

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Official Academic Transcript
  2. English Language Proficiency 
  3. Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
  4. Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
  5. Letter of Recommendation from the Academic Advisor
  6. Curriculum Vitae
  7. Motivation Letter
  8. Colored Copy of Passport
  9. Confirmation Letter of Participation (download) 
  10. Passport Size Photo 

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than March 28th, 2024 for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination  and you may proceed to the online application.
  3. The FINAL decision is from host universities.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id )
