[Japan] Study in Kyoto Program 2023 – Ritsumeikan University

The Study in Kansai Program (SKP) is Ritsumeikan University’s non-degree study abroad program. The program brings together students from around the world at RU’s campuses in Kyoto, Osaka, and Shiga Prefectures.
SKP offers participants a great opportunity to study at RU while utilizing the extensive historical and cultural resources of the Kansai region. Enrollment in the program is flexible with three tracks of study; you can apply to the track that best suits your academic needs.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for SKP Fall Semester 2023 at Ritsumeikan University is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

For more detailed information about this program, kindly check the SKP course list from previous semesters for each track and campus on their website 

Eligibility

  1. Undergraduate (S1)/ Graduate (S2) students who have completed their first academic year
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  3. Minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  4. Be proficient in English/Japanese. Non-native English speakers must have a score of at least TOEFL iBT 68/ PBT 520, CEFR B2, or IELTS 6.0 (or other score indicating an equivalent proficiency level).

  1. Official Student transcripts
  2. English language proficiency
  3. Letter of Reference
  4. Curriculum Vitae
  5. Motivation Letter
  6. Certificate of Enrollment from the faculty
  7. Colored copy of passport
  8. Passport-size photo (4 pieces, 3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background color, taken within the past three months)
  9. Letter of Nomination from faculty (addressed to Head of Office of International Affairs)
  10. Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)

Application Procedures

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than March 7, 2023 for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to SKP at Ritsumeikan University and you may proceed to the online application.
  3. The FINAL decision from SKP at Ritsumeikan University
