Greetings from Taipei Medical University!
We are pleased to announce the application for TMU Short-Term Exchange Program for Spring Semester 2023 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students. The program will be conducted from mid-February, 2023 to mid-June, 2023.
TMU Short-Term Exchange Program (TMU-STEP) provides an opportunity for students from universities around the world to study at Taipei Medical University for one or two semesters. TMU-STEP consists of a wide variety of English-taught classes in Health Sciences, such as Medicine, Public Health, Pharmacy and Nutrition.
In addition to professional courses, students attending TMU-STEP may also sign up for Chinese language courses. Some participants can choose to do independent research (lab attachment) under the guidance of a TMU faculty member. There will also be opportunities to participate in numerous traditional and contemporary Taiwanese cultural activities.
TMU Short-Term Exchange Program offers 17 online courses for international students to attend remotely, along with additional in-person courses on TMU campus.

Eligibility
- Undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled at universities outside Taiwan.
- Be officially nominated by their home institution and pay the tuition fee to their home institution, not to TMU.
- Complete at least one semester of the home university program before they apply.
- Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
- Be proficient in English. Non-native English speakers must score at least TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 5.5.

- Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
- Copy of valid student ID (copy of both sides if applicable)
- Official academic transcript
- English proficiency test result
- List of intended courses with TMU (see full curriculum on TMU-STEP website) and a study proposal (for applicants choosing independent study/research study)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Copy (of the photo and personal detail page) of valid passport
- Proof of insurance (travel insurance covering overseas medical expenses; this document can be submitted after the receipt of acceptance letter from TMU)
- Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
Application Procedures
- Submit the required documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than January 31, 2023, for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once selected as Nominated Applicant, OIA will confirm your official nomination to TMU, and you may proceed to the Online Application.
- The final decision from TMU.
