Kyungpook National University (경북대학교, abbreviated as KNU or Kyungdae, 경대) is a national university representing Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongbuk Province in South Korea. It is located in the Daegu Metropolitan City, which used to be the capital city of the Gyeongbuk Province, South Korea before being separated from the mother province. (Kyungpook in the university’s name represents an old romanization of the province’s name, now most commonly spelled Gyeongbuk.)
We are pleased to inform you that the Application for Kyungpook National University Student Exchange Program for Spring 2023 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate students (S1)
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
- Be proficient in English. Non-native English speakers must have a score of at least CEFR B2 (TOEFL iBT 79-80 or IELTS 6.5)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Required Documents
- Online Application (link will be shared to nominated students)
- A Letter of Nomination for Faculty
- An Official Certificate of Enrollment from the Applicant’s Home University (an apostille or notarized from embassy of Korea is mandatory for non-OECD countries). Please proceed Apostille through https://apostille.ahu.go.id/ after being nominated. An Official Transcripts from the Applicant’s Home University
- A Copy of Valid Passport (face/data page, valid 6 months beyond the day of departure)
- A Color ID Photo (not an ID card but a face photo)
- A Bank Statement with an Amount of US$ 9,000 (for a semester)
Application Procedures
- Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form:http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than October 12, 2022 for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Kyungpook National University and you may proceed to the online application.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
- Application of outgoing mobility for fall/odd semester in AY 2022/2023 will be processed but the implementation/execution will carefully consider the latest development of COVID-19 and government’s regulation.
