The Graz International Summer School Seggau is designed for internationally oriented, highly motivated students from all disciplines, who wish to deepen their understanding of current European and international affairs by studying and discussing global developments and challenges within the context of transformation processes and demographic change reflecting aspects of individual, social, political, religious, cultural, literary, regional, economic, cohort and national identities.
We are pleased to inform you that the application for Graz International Summer School Seggau 2022 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.
General Information

Fees: The total student participation fee is 1.500€ and 500€ for student participants of the University of Graz. It covers course costs, tuition, room & board (single rooms, 3 meals per day) for the entire 2 weeks.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate students (S1) in their 3rd-7th semester or post-graduate students (S2) in their 2nd-3rd semester.
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
- Be proficient in English. Non-native English speakers must have a score of at least TOEFL ITP 550, TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5.

- 1 signed Online Application Form (printout from the data-base – automatically generated PDF)
- 1 original proof of enrollment at your home university
- 1 copy of your Diploma(s) and/or Transcript(s) from your university:
– undergraduate students: transcripts of all bachelor’s courses completed so far;
– graduate students: bachelor’s diploma, transcripts of master’s courses completed so far, confirmation from the admissions office of your home university that you are currently enrolled on master level or fulfil all requirements to be enrolled on master level
– post-graduate students: bachelor’s and master’s diploma as well as transcript of all doctoral courses completed so far; confirmation from the admissions office of your home university that you are currently enrolled on doctoral level or fulfil all requirements to be enrolled on doctoral level - 1 copy of your Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- A short essay (about one page, written by yourself) on your motivation to attend Graz International Summer School Seggau 2022 and why the topic of the lectures and the seminar model is of interest to you. Please also state, why you want to attend the seminar of your choice.
- 2 original letters of recommendation which have to be written AND signed by different university teachers. Professors should send the letters of recommendation directly to us (via e-mail to gusegg@uni-graz.at).
- 1 copy of the relevant pages of your passport (page with picture and data and pages with valid visa, if you already have one)
- Download and fill in the (Application Form GUSEGG_2022). You have to print the document and sign it by hand. We do NOT accept electronic signatures.
- Send the signed application form and required documents via e-mail gusegg@uni-graz.at
- Enclose it to all your other documents and send it via e-mail to GUSEGG (1 PDF only)
- Incomplete applications WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, so make sure you have filled in the form correctly and attached all the necessary documents (see above)!
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Apply by sending the Application Package via gusegg@uni-graz.at no later than March 14th, 2022.
- The FINAL decision of participants is from GUSEGG 2022. No nomination needed from OIA UGM. But if you need a nomination letter from Universitas Gadjah Mada, please submit your aforementioned documents through http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication
