[South Korea] Chung Ang University – Exchange Program for Spring 2022

Chung-Ang University is a private institution with 30,000 students and 982 faculty members. It consists of 10 undergraduate colleges and 16 graduate schools. It operates two campuses, in Seoul and Anseong, Korea. Established in 1918, CAU has endured through the painful course of Korea’s modern history, upholding its ideal of “Justice and Truth”. Since then, CAU has taken a leading role in nurturing intellectuals of the nation. Respected as a leading institution providing quality education, CAU has sped up the pace of innovation in local education.

We are pleased to inform that Chung Ang University Spring 2022 Exchange Program is open for Universitas Gadjah Mada Students

Eligibility

  1. Undergraduate students (S1) 3rd-7th semester or graduate students (S2)
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  3. Minimum 2.0 / 4.5 for the whole semester
  4. None  language certificate  required. However, a good knowledge of English or Korean is recommended, especially for graduate level students – must be able to take university level courses in either English or Korean. Suggested level for graduate exchange students: Equivalent to TOEFL(IBT 80 PBT 550 CBT 210), IELTS 5.5, TEPS 550.

  2. Motivation Letter
  3. Official Academic Transcript record (issued in English)
  4. A recommendation letter from an academic supervisor
  5. Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
  6. Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
  7. 3.5cm * 4.5cm color photo of the face (front view on white background only, taken within past six months)
  8. Copy of passport
  9. Financial Statement (Official document provided by the bank. Other documents are not allowed. We recommend that your financial statement clearly states the USD equivalent of your bank balance.)
  10. Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)

Application Procedures

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than October 28th, 2021 for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Chung-Ang University and you may proceed to the Online Application.
  3. The FINAL decision from Chung-Ang University.

 IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • The implementation/execution of this program will be carefully reconsidered depends on the latest development of COVID-19 and the government’s regulation
  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
