This is the information on 2017 academic year Meiji exchange student program.
 

The Application Period

∇ 2017 Spring semester (April, 2017- )

*Duration of study abroad at Meiji:
April, 2017 – July, 2017 (one semester only)
April, 2017 – January, 2018 (one year)*Online application: August 25 – September 29, 2016
*Send application materials by courier to Meiji: August 25 – October 13, 2016All applicants for 2017 spring semester are required to complete the online application by September 29. To complete the application, application materials must be sent via courier to Meiji by October 13 after the online application. Also, please send the application for COE as an Excel document to exchange@meiji.ac.jp
 

∇ 2017 Fall semester (September, 2017- )

*Duration of study abroad at Meiji :
September, 2017 – January, 2018 (one semester only)
September, 2017 – July, 2018 (one year)
*Online application: January 19 – February 23, 2017
*Send application materials by courier to Meiji: January 19 – March 9, 2017
All applicants for 2017 fall semester are required to complete the online application by February 23. To complete the application, application materials must be sent via courier to Meiji by March 9 after the online application. Also, please send the application for COE as an Excel document to exchange@meiji.ac.jp

NO application is accepted after the deadline.
Duration of study abroad at Meiji (one semester or one year) and school (faculty) must be decided before applying for the program. They cannot be changed after the online application.

¤ Applicants who wish to study at schools which offer classes in English

 
The score of TOEFL, IELTS that they took in September 2014 or later will be valid for the application. Applicants are required to take the test BEFORE application. Copy of the official score MUST be prepared to upload to the online application.To avoid disappointment, please be mindful and ensure that your nominated students meet the language requirement. For the requirement of each school, please refer to page 7-8 of Application Guidelines.

¤ Meiji University Japanese Language Online Test

(Only for applicants who wish to study at schools which offer classes in Japanese. Applicants to the schools which offer classes in English are NOT required to take the test.)Applicants to schools which offer classes in Japanese and cannot submit a valid JLPT certificate are requested to take Meiji University Japanese Language Online Test. Meiji University will send the information about the test to exchange student program coordinator once we confirm the online application.Please note that the JLPT certificate that will be valid for application is any of the followings;
(1) N1: passed before
(2) N2, N3 or N4: passed in either 2015 or 2016< Meiji University Japanese Language Online Test dates>
Applicants for 2017 Spring semester: August 25 – October 6, 2016
Applicants for 2017 Fall semester: January 19 – March 2, 2017
 
 
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

All of the main documents are stated in the Application Guidelines, yet these are compulsory supporting documents (for UGM’s internal nomination selection):
• Curriculum Vitae
• Student Enrollment from faculty

 
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1) Submit all documents to OIA UGM before deadline
2) Student who are nominated by UGM will be notified to continue filling Online Application of Meiji University.
3) Following the host university procedure
4) FINAL DECISION
