Entrance Requirement
Every class in KUIS will be taught in Japanese except for the English classes of Dept. of English Education, thus an applicant to our exchange program is required to have a certain level of Japanese language. Please see the requirements for each major/courses below:
1. Department of English Education : More than Intermediate level (JLPT* Level N3 and above)
2. The rest : Upper-intermediate level and above (JLPT Level N1~N2)
*JLPT:Japanese Language Proficiency Test
Housing Information
KUIS offers housing support for foreign students to stay during the exchange program, ranging from university dormitory(owned by government or other organizations). Exchange students are required to live in the dormitory specified by KUIS. Further details of the dormitory will be forwarded to your home institution.
Available accommodations are as follows:
1. School dormitory (Miki campus only)
2. Student dormitory owned by government or other organizations
3. Apartment (shared kitchen and bath w/ individual room)
Average cost : 35,000~41,500 Yen (Meals not included)
More than 50,000 Yen (meals included)
