On behalf of AUN, I am pleased to announce that Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is organizing the ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme (AYVP) 2016 under the theme “Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)” to be held on 1-26 Aug 2016 in the Philippines.
This programme, developed and implemented by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National University of Malaysia – UKM), under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia, with the support of the ASEAN Secretariat and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), will be working closely with the implementing partners in the Philippines, namely University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University.
The Call for Volunteers was made on 1st March 2016 via AYVP’s online portals – AYVP’s Facebook page, Twitter account and AYVP UKM’s website (http://www.ayvpukm.com.my/).
The closing date of applications will be on 31st March 2016 (midnight GMT). The selection will be based on individual merits and only short listed volunteers will be notified after 7th June 2016.
This year, we are expecting to receive over 3500 applications from youth across the region as the past three years recorded 2066 (2015), 1400 (2014) and 850 (2013) applications received respectively. We would like to thank our stakeholders for their effort in disseminating the call for volunteers to their networks and contacts.
In this regard, I appreciate your help to disseminating the call for AYVP Philippines 2016 to relevant contacts and departments to ensure better participation from youth across the region.
Please contact or visit Office of International Affairs UGM (Bulaksumur, F13) before you apply this opportunity, for nominated by Universitas Gadjah Mada.
