[Scholarship] GREAT Scholarships & Women in STEM Scholarships

The British Embassy Jakarta is pleased to share two outstanding Study UK scholarship opportunities for Indonesian students wishing to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom.

We are pleased to inform you that the applications for the GREAT Scholarship and the Women in STEM Scholarships are now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students and alumni.

Women in STEM Scholarships

SCHOLARSHIP 1: GREAT SCHOLARSHIP

  • Funding: Offers a minimum of £10,000 towards tuition fees.
  • Program: Valid for one-year postgraduate taught courses at participating UK universities.
  • Eligibility: Open to Indonesian students who have received an offer from a participating institution and meet the academic and English language requirements.

SCHOLARSHIP 2: WOMEN IN STEM SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Funding: Fully funded. Covers full tuition fees, living allowance, travel costs, and visa-related expenses.
  • Program: Supports women wishing to pursue postgraduate study in STEM-related fields in the UK.
  • Eligibility: Open to women from eligible countries with strong academic backgrounds and leadership potential in STEM.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Apply directly to the participating UK universities according to the guidelines on the respective British Council websites. The deadlines vary depending on the chosen university and course. The FINAL decisions are made by the respective UK institutions.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
