Greetings from the UK!

The University of Birmingham invites students to participate in its dynamic Summer 2026 Programmes. Students can choose between the 3-week Birmingham International Summer School (featuring modules like Data Science, Biomedical Science, and British Cultural Heritage) and the new 6-to-8-week credit-bearing Summer Research Programme (offering hands-on projects in STEM and Psychology).

We are pleased to inform you that the application for the University of Birmingham Summer 2026 Programmes is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Students must have an academic interest or background relevant to the chosen track:
    Summer School Tracks: British Cultural Heritage, Biomedical Science, Data Science for Business & Economics, Education, or Media & Society.
    Research Projects: Psychology, Medical Sciences, Engineering (Materials Sciences), Chemistry, or Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence.
  • Note: Early bird and partnership discounts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Apply directly to the University of Birmingham. Kindly refer to their website for the application guide.

  • Information Sessions: Prospective applicants are highly encouraged to attend an online Zoom session on March 2, 3, or 4, 2026 (04:00 PM London time).

  • The deadline for both programs is 1 May 2026. The FINAL decision is from the University of Birmingham.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
