Greetings from the International Relations Centre (UKM Global), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)!

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), translated as the National University of Malaysia, is a prestigious institution of higher learning located in Bangi, Selangor. Established in 1970, UKM is known for its commitment to advancing knowledge, fostering research, and promoting national development. As a leading Malaysian university, UKM offers a diverse range of academic programs across various disciplines, including science, technology, humanities, and social sciences. The university’s mission emphasizes inclusivity, innovation, and community engagement. We are pleased to inform you that the application for Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia International Summer Program 2024 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

  • These programs encompass the areas of tropical heritage, biodiversity in Malaysia’s tropical ecosystem, indigenous communities, leadership, management, Islamic Finance, engineering and sustainability, as well as language and culture immersion. 
  • The summer school also includes comprehensive lectures, interactive workshops, educational visits, social gatherings, city tours, excursions to familiarize participants with Malaysia, and many more. 
  • These programs are designed for international students and taught entirely in English.
  • Ranging between one week to three weeks

ELIGIBILITY

  1. An undergraduate student at a higher education institutions outside of Malaysia
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age on the first day of the program
  3. English Language Requirements: Proficiency in English and the ability to participate in an academic environment. (Language proficiency is self-assessed—we do not require TOEFL or IELTS scores).

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Submit your application to the UKM’s online application no later than 15 April 2024.
  2. The FINAL decision is from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id
