Greetings from Kansai University, Japan!

Kansai University is a prestigious institution of higher education located in Osaka, Japan. Established in 1886, it has a rich history and is renowned for its academic excellence and commitment to research and education. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs across various fields, including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, and business. We are pleased to inform you that the application for Kansai University Short Term Program 2024 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

 

INTENSIVE JAPANESE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE COURSE (IJLC)

    • Content: Japanese language classes, Japanese culture experience, field trip and interaction with Kansai University students.
  • Feature: Kansai University Students as conversation partners will support the conversation and discussion in classes. There are many opportunities to talk with Kansai University students, and a variety of classes are offered, including Japanese for daily situations, Japanese Studies, Traditional Japanese Culture, Academic Japanese, and more.
  • Language: Japanese
  • Capacity: 45 participants in principle
  • Schedule
  1. Winter 1: Thursday, January 11, 2024 – Saturday, February 3, 2024, 24 days
  2. Winter 2: Tuesday, February 13, 2024 – Tuesday, February 27, 2024, 15 days
  • Application Period
  1. Winter 1: Tuesday, October 31, 2023  Strict to the deadline
  2. Winter 2: Thursday, November 30, 2023  Strict to the deadline 

 

WINTER SCHOOL

    • Content: Learning Osaka, the Mercantile Capital of Japan is held in English.  The course provides students of opportunities to learn the history and culture of Osaka in depth through lectures and hands-on experience.  They also can expect to understand “entrepreneurial spirit” by observing the history, actual and current situation of companies with roots in Osaka.  Introductory Japanese course is also available as an option for students who wish to study Japanese language.

  • Schedule: Monday, January 15 – Friday, January 26, 2024
  • Application Period: Friday, September 1 – Friday, October 27, 2023
