Warm greetings from Kansai University
Kansai University was founded as Kansai Law School in November 1886, in the large commercial city of Osaka. Its founders consisted of a dozen people who were judicial officers and businesspersons. Kansai University has seen remarkable development over its many years. Kansai University has 13 faculties, 13 graduate schools, three professional graduate schools, as well as a preparatory course for international students. Over its long history, all those involved in building its institution have had to overcome various hardships to achieve such prestigious standing.
We are pleased to inform you that the Application for Student Exchange Program for Fall 2021 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

Eligibility
- 3rd to 6th-semester undergraduate students
- 3rd to 4th-semester graduate students
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program

- Motivation Letter & Study Plan
- Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
- Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
- Official Academic Transcript
- Colored Copy of Passport
- Passport-size photo *Please follow the photo requirements.
- English Language Proficiency (Min. Score of TOEFL – ITP=530, iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0)
- Kansai University Certificate of Health
- Exchange Program Recommendation form *this will be given by OIA upon nomination
- Exchange Program Covenants Application form *student’s signature required
- Exchange Program Research Plan (Only applicants who wish to study at graduate level at Kansai University)
- Dormitory Guarantee Form *Those who plan to live in the International Student Dormitory of Kansai University
- Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
※Regarding accepting students at graduate level, please note that we may not be able to accept your students at Kansai University in case the professor judges the research content was mismatched. If this is the case, please understand that we will accept your student at undergraduate level at our university.
Application Procedure
- Submit the aforementioned documents in softcopies compiled in one pdf format to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later April 15th, 2021 for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Kansai University and you may proceed to the online application.
- The FINAL decision from Kansai University.
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)

Application of outgoing mobility for fall/odd semester in AY 2021/2022 will be processed but the implementation/execution will carefully consider the latest development of COVID-19 and government’s regulation.
